To: alt.magick From: kingsword@aol.com (King Sword) Subject: Re: Unicursal Hexagram--original meaning (was Re: Magick of Solomon video -- New Review) Date: 17 Aug 1996 23:48:29 -0400 Pat: Let's not forget that Giordano Bruno sketched a unicursal hex. back in the 1500's (see Yates, Giordano Bruno and the Hermetic Tradition) -- also in Chic & Tabatha's latest G.D. journal there is an article suggesting that Mathers derived the G.D. Hexagram from the magick circle drawing in the Key of Solomon (which see). I refered to this in my (our) book on the Cyphers (which may yet be published). Agreed, the regular hexagram is very cumbersome but there may be some inner order vault symbolism involved. Perhaps the G.D. should retain it? The OTA uses the unicursal form form for general solar-tiphareth symbolism but a planetary sepatgram serves in the invoking mode (but then we even got rid of YHVH!). It seems the OTO likes the unicursal form. Pagan kabbalah is arriving fast. How's Chris and the baby? Good Magick! The King of Swords (you know who) kingsword@aol.com
