Yes, I have a book called "Russian Icons", publshers; Phaidon ISBN 0 7148 1792 9. It has a Icon called "The Transfiguration of Christ", ascribed to the late 14th cen. In this Icon Christ is standing in the middle of a unicursal hexagram with Peter, John & James shuddering before his glory & the two Old Testament prophets standing on either side, a la the Transfiguration story in the New Testament. A common Frazerian ascription of Christ's Transfiguration is the Summer Solstice. There are many pre-Crowley examples of unicursal hexigrams just like there are many pre-Christian examples of cross, pre-Nazi examples of swastikas &c &c &c. Medievial Cathederals are paticulary fertile ground, esp. masons "marks".
