I wouldn't even like to guess ;-)

It's possible to argue convincingly that he could have been either 
depending on which theory you accept as to his historical existence. If 
for example he was Lucius Artorius Castus, commander of the Roman 
Cataphracti (cavalry) he may have worshipped a naked sword blade so I 
guess that would point towards paganism. If he was a Roman/Briton "Dux 
Bellorum" he may well have been converted to the "True Faith". 

I do suspect however that as he would have been a very fragile link 
holding together a tempestuous alliance of tribal chieftains he may have 
been diplomatic and venerated whichever religion the situation required.
