49990110 IIIom Hail Satan! (Dark Dante):
# 1. Can anyone tell me about the different types of Sataism? I'm sure
# that Satanism has many different sects like Christianity does, so I'd
# like a good outline of the different sects of this religion.

check out

where I am setting about the construction of such a taxonomy. I've
just moved the archive, but most of it appears to be functioning
properly. it has a variety of Satanist expressions. these are the

	Church of Satan (COS)
        Fraternitas Loki
        Illuminates of Satanas (IOS)
        Independent Satanists
        Lodge of Ur
Order of the Evil Eye (OEE)
Order of the Left Hand Path
Order of the Nefarious Mass (ONM)
        Order of Nine Angels (ONA)
        Ordo Sinestra Vivendi (OSV)
        Ordo Templi Satanas (OTS)
        Temple of Set (TOS)
The Ordur of KaOs Under Satan (TOKUS)

notice the predominant focus on "Order". the independent
Satanists are those I consider to be the most virtuous. if
you have additional text you'd like to see there, please
send it my way. I'll be HTML'izing the whole site within
the coming year and will enjoy including all cogent writ.

# 2. What sites are the best sites to read up on info about the religion?

besides the TOKUS site, I like these:

# ...Did anyone here see the movie Devil's Advocate? A great movie if
# I must say so. Al Pacino plays a great Satan. I love his talk to
# Keanu Reeves at the end of the movie about God being the Cosmic Joker.

I enjoyed it also, though it was somewhat Christian in overtone.

blessed beast!
