To: zazas-l@hollyfeld.org From: tyagi@houseofkaos.abyss.com (nocTifer) Subject: (Z) Re: Second Generation Martyrs Date: Wed, 7 Jan 1998 19:29:22 -0800 (PST) 49980107 aa2 Hail Satan! nocTifer sent this in a post to ZAZAS-L (and thus to Usenet): # > this is something I would call 'Second Generation Martyrdom'. # > the first wave sets out the battle-lines, co-opting language # > and attempting to turn cultural mores toward more liberal # > and liberating directions, sometimes just striking out # > against puritanism, full-force. darkasi@sci.fi (in ZAZAS-L): # Please explain how the first wave have encouraged the folk # to get in deeper contact with their self, instead of # getting deeper contact with the others, by focusing on # their (others') values, by waring agaisnt their norms? by reflecting condemnatory language (the exteriorized shadow of the oppressor) as self-identifications in labels and personal tradition. 'sabbat', 'coven', 'witch', 'satanist', 'black magic', 'black mass', 'child sacrifice', etc. # > some of the second generation may understand the bait-and- # > switch tactics being used, capitalizing on the Satanic # > (deceptive) modes of communication standardized by previous # > generations. # ...Can you give me some examples? those who speak of 'cursing' in a very similar sense as the previous usage of 'blessing' (as 'cursing one's child with intelligence', etc., usually a boon which may bring trials or challenges to be borne). those who speak of 'Satan' and mean something other than the Bogey constructed by Christians or the flimsy caricature or puppet sometimes utilized by LaVeyans (e.g. as 'the dark force of matter', or 'wild nature'). # > most do not, and, like the Neopagan 'Witches' # > and so many historical 'Christians', instead they play the # > 'martyr card', whining and complaining at the unfairness of # > it all and how put upon is their (usually) 'alloted role'. # # If they love to whine, what's so non-Satanic about it? actually they don't love to whine, they would rather that they were able to engage their conventional lives within the mixed language they have inherited, but they find meaning within their otherwise meaningless lives in 'defending the faith' against the evil antagonists who have misunderstood the 'proper significance' of the language. never mind that the condemning agents are following on traditions which are longer-standing than the novel religion which has co-opted them. # > (thus becoming the orthodoxy, consolidating rigid rules # > that conform to their own, increasingly conservative # > standards). # > this process is slow in normal human societies but greatly # > accelerated in cyberspace, # Quite so. You have been studying your viewpoint for # quite a while, why not try something else for a change? creating it. I move through viewpoints, fleshing them out, sometimes in response to those who provide challenge to my fancy or my insight. I don't have 'a viewpoint', enjoying several which I pull out occasionally for fun and enjoyment. when I get bored with them I build another one, usually with the ecstasy of mystical experience or revelation as fuel. # ...How many years have you been studying your # same old viewpoint in the cyberspace? which one? fleshing out that which I created for the alt.satanism FAQ? probably 3-4 years, though I've integrated it within a container of politics and morality and discovered the identity of Satan within its context within the past 2 years, altering my relationship with Satan within the last year and a half, studying the history of magick and the Devil in the last year, all apparently in preparation for what is to begin and carry into full blossom at or just before the breaking of the millenium. # Do you feel succesful because of lack of change? revolutionary thought and feeling provide me with a very wonderful sense of accomplishment. I am treading new ground, re-contextualizing what I had previously discovered periodically and putting into practice what I'd only barely glimpsed 6 months prior while seizing more strongly the process which carries me through. there is no lack of change in the my life. quite the contrary, sometimes so strong that I think I will be dissolved or whipped into shards and dissipated. but always Kali holds me together. # What are the most essential changes in your perspective # during these years? this question appears based on a faulty premises -- that I have a single perspective (false), that this single perspective develops in some kind of linear or concentric manner (false), that I can ascertain with any degree of exactitude what might be the most sublime or important developments at any time in my life (esp. recently, false). however, there have been some important fulcrums which are now a part of life: * approach to Satan and Satanism in the vision set out by my church and its Elders, seeing within it a perfect elaboration on Crowley's Ozzian ethics carried out for Agapic purposes * awareness of the importance of who and what Satan is to me, how I can enter into relation with Hir on many levels (as SHe has many different apparent manifestations in my world) * dedication of service to Satan in a Faustian exchange which I as yet barely understand, continued following out of lovemaking with my goddess of worship, seeing how these two are related and what my life will look like, preliminarily, as I weave between them (it was the dedication to worship which set in place the temporal context of my cogitations -- the Kali Yuga -- it was my dedication to service of self and the wild which set in place an aeonic period of renewal and the ambience of warfare into which I have been initiated) * beginning slowly to connect the esoteric principles I have learned in my eclectic and tantric education to a lifestyle and platform of politics which will transform myself and my world, its yield limited only to by the energy I withold from this dynamic catalysis * unhinging my values through tantric discipline so as to decentralize sexuality and, in particular, women, from the directing force of my life and centering this instead on a more subtle and less physical visionary insight which Kali and Satan reveal through time and within the capacity of my understanding. these are the most recent. these all came AFTER the crystalization of the Great Martyrdom Cult lattice which enabled me to understand Western religion as an organic and transforming chimerae that plays with memes and politics in order to feed on itself. # > the process is slowed by those with memory and strength # > to resist the herd-deteriorization. # # And those who focus on the values of others' (their # pleasures, evils, taboos, whatever) are untouched by the # tendencies & trends of the herd? it depends largely on why this focus exists and what power or influence one provides it. if the focus on others' values or behaviors is attempted for the purpose of obtaining *orientation*, then at worst will come dismember- ment, at best a thrashing that may propel into liberation. if that focus is for the purpose of coordination, dance, challenge, play, entertainment, ecstasy, battle, and any of the other roles ordinarily engaged as an equal, then this can assist a transformation OR a cementation. # > it is one of the real (and sad) consequences of # > having little or no scientific or historical element of # > religious establishment (these typically being sacrificed # > in order to serve the conflicting ideals of the group or # > misunderstood as competition and defused by their # > supporters who further fragment the community). # # And what is this religious establishment of your first # generation - the focusation in the values of others, # instead of self? the religious establishment is not created by the first generation. as I explained, the second and, more forcefully, the third and fourth generations seem to have historically created the establishment religious. that which is presently the establishment is of Christian character in the West, though 'Christian' has absorbed a wide variety of elements from many pre-Christian sources. it varies considerably over geography as yet and the most urban and immigrated areas are impossible to categorize, becoming eclectic and/or embattled. # Some Christians are said to be rather Satanic, because # they don't care what Bible or Church tell them to # think / feel, but instead they listen & follow # themselves, focusing in their own thoughts & emotions. # Some Satanists seem to focus on thoughts & emotions # of some others. # # Do you think the suicide of collectivist&conservativist # you took place when you begun TOKUSing, or is it just # nearing? the Manifesto Satanika put into strict terms the formula of the Aeon of the Adversary. these were to become a kind of emotional skeleton or framework inherent to the collage that I have been discovering. you may find the Manifesto at the TOKUS website, with numerous other Satanist texts. blessed beast! ________________________________________________________________________ nocTifer: tyagi@houseofkaos.abyss.com --- http://www.abyss.com/tokus TOKUS-COE Office: 408/2-666-SLUG --- Emergency Contraception:18005849911 ____________...oooOOO---zazas-l@hollyfeld.org---OOOooo..._____________ To unsubscribe send "unsubscribe" to zazas-l-request@hollyfeld.org To unsubscribe your@email.com send "unsubscribe your@email.com" To subscribe send "subscribe" to zazas-l-request@hollyfeld.org http://www.hollyfeld.org/heaven
