Do you make a distinction between belief and knowledge?  For instance, some
people think beliefs are what others have, while they themselves have
knowledge.  How is it with you?

Occultists do not agree on the existence of Satan.  Some believe it, others
don't.  Occultism is a body of lore accumulated over a very long time from
a wide variety of sources and contains many contradictions.

The belief in Satan among occultists usually springs from the same evidence
as the belief in Satan among fundamentalist christians.  It's part of the
dogma and an explanation for some personal experiences, either their own or
those of others.
