I do know that Anton set store by "the power of the word": that a certain magical bridge is crossed if you write or state something for the record rather than just carrying it around in your head as a "feeling". My guess is that via such a document he made no "bargain" in the Faustian tradition of "pacts with the Devil", but simply made a statement of loyalty to Satan and determination to build and protect his Church.
