To: alt.magick From: "Fuzzypeg"Subject: Re: Wiccan associations and lack of references Date: Wed, 17 May 2000 14:22:15 +1200 I am unaware of any Wiccan tradition of associations for planets or days of the week. Certainly, many books on practical witchcraft would give planetary associations, for practicality, and many covens (and some traditions) will have standardised ways of working, but it would be wrong to say there is any Wiccan "tradition" of associations. There is a well-established western tradition of planetary associations, which seems to work OK (by the way, I don't think pink for Venus is traditional), and the original books of shadows don't expound any further on this subject. (I'm pretty sure I'm correct on this, but my book is currently on loan to someone, so I can't check). -- Fuzzypeg http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/2763 Diancecht wrote in message <8fs79j$mbt$1@news02.arb1.te.uudial.us.uu.net>... >"Planetary waves induce mind control." >"All thoughts are not true." > >Jessica Brown wrote in message >news:Pine.LNX.4.10.10005160043330.5141-100000@chem4823.usask.ca... >| >| In Wiccan books you can usually find pages with associations between days, >| colors, gemstones, yadda yadda, *but* I have never seen a page which >| details why there are such associations or which religion the associations >| original came from.
