To: alt.satanism,alt.magick.tyagi,talk.religion.misc,alt.magick From: tyagi@houseofkaos.abyss.com (nigris (333)) Subject: Satanism and Kabbalah (was Re: Tree of Life) Date: 16 Feb 1998 19:53:30 -0800 49980216 aa2 Hail Satan! "Ken Barber": # Tree of Life would know of how the constructions of qlippoth and # other unspoken of entities lie inside the Tree of Life or outside. there is no one Tree of Life. absolute proclamations about the various constructs called 'the Tree of Life' are ludicrous. there are many of them and what lies 'inside' or 'outside' these very important mystical diagrams is quite debatable. # ...if there has ever been attempted a proper system of # "satanic" or "anti-christian" form of magic or otherwise. I don't think so, not yet. there are those who have gone past the strictly puritanical GDawnian and Enochian angelic diatribes (like Kenneth Grant and people like Michael Bertiaux), but few have actively incorporated an anti-Christian or very obviously Satanic theme. LaVey started some things with his (apparently meager) co-options of Enochian Calls, but the few times I've seen these reviewed they didn't seem too viable as foundations for anything lasting, just anomalies. # ...twisted the Holy Kabalah into something you may guys # may call "unholy". the Hermetics started doing this when they got into the various Qliphotic realms (shells, as of the sephoroth or spheres), also Lurianic though more personal in characterization. Grant took this further from Crowley's _Liber CCXXXI_ and extrapolated the various 'Tunnels of Set' (paths). I've tried to construct a summary within _Liber Qliphoth_, Part One of which can be found at: http://www.hollyfeld.org/heaven/Avidyana/Plebe/l.qliphoth.fn Part Two (summarizing Grant's Tunnels) is in draft stage and awaiting review by someone with some of the published summaries of Grant's materials (I gather there are one or two and one of my kin who said she'd do it hasn't got back to it yet -- perhaps this mention will spur her onward, else anyone who'd like to volunteer to join in the editing please email me directly). blessed beast! tyagi@houseofkaos.abyss.com nigris (333) -- (emailed replies may be posted); http://www.hollyfeld.org/~tyagi; 408/2-666-SLUG join the esoteric syncretism in alt.magick.tyagi; http://www.abyss.com/tokus
