*****Actually I pretty much agree with you even though I respect
Steve's work and his scholarship. You get what you go for in such
operations. As we have established, he was using a late and corrupted
Hebrew "kabbalistic" version of the klippothic lowerarchy that is
primarily used in the Hermetic (Magical) Qabalah. The Hermetic Qabalah
has more leeway for "rebellious spirits" than this "cess pool"
klippoth Waite describes in *The Holy Kabbalah.* However, the question
still remains (hopefully without slurs and emotionalism) should we
practitioners of the magical Hermetic Qabalah (Gentile and Jewish)
seek our Goetic spirits in our admittedly nasty klippoth, or in the
ten sephiroth of Yesod (the lower reaches of Yetzirah). In this case I
think my original position is valid. If a few magicians using an
orthodox rabbinical system of QBL want to fish for Ashtaroth in their
earlier, nicer klippoth, I hope they do better than Steve. ******
