I've been asking around Yahoo Groups for about 8 months for a good
translation of the Zohar. The only answers I've gotten have been around the
Soncino. Even then, there was a bit of disappointment in the fact that it
only covers something like 35% of the total text. My dream is to have the
whole thing with some good commentary... I imagine that there probably will
be no such version, and that I shall have to learn to read Hebrew fluently,
but I can dream can't I?

Gotta love Kaplan. I'm involved right now with an e-mail list that is going
through the Sepher Yetsirah book that Kaplan wrote. Lots of fun, and very
informative. Kaplan's meditative approach is really good imo because he
isn't breaking taboos by discussing the Practical Kabbalah, but he gives you
the tools to make your own approach. I like innovating.

effectually on sympathy, education, and social

indeed be in a poor way if he had to be
restrained by fear of punishment and hope of
reward after death."
