Fate's Knight's Comments on Chassidus

I have no idea where you got this idea (see below), but it's simply not true
and rather typical of the hearsay and disinformation that passes for fact on
lists such as this. (e.g, see Mr. Mephistopheles's laughably naive comments
on Sabbatai Zevi.)

There are a number of Orthodox-Jewish Rabbis who gladly teach Chassidus and
Kabbalah to Gentiles, both on and off the internet. One of them is a
prominent Lubavitcher (Chabad) Rabbi, R. Yossi Markel, who invites non-Jews
as well as Jews to receive his online lectures on Chassidic Kabbalah. He can
be reached at moshiach@pgh.nauticom.net

Another place where Gentiles are invited (in fact, encouraged) to learn
authentic Jewish Kabbalah and Chassidus is from Reb Yakov Leib HaKohain at
Donmeh West, which can be subscribed to at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DONMEH_WEST. It's focus, however, is less on
Chassidus and more on Neo-Sabbatian Kabbalah as developed by Rabbi Nathan of
Gaza (17th century) from the 16th century writings of R. Isaac Luria to
explain the mystical Ma'asim Zarim ("Strange Actions') of Avatar Sabbatai
Zevi, including his "conversion" to Islam, which Nathan witnessed and
interpreted first hand as a "descent into the Palace of Samael" to retrieve
the Holy Sparks that had fallen there at the cataclysm of creation and
reunite them with their source so that "The Lord will be One and his name
One." (Zechariah 14:9)

Readers who are interested in learning more than the unenducated opinions of
amateur Jews about Sabbatai Zevi can read, among other scholarly works,
Prof. Gershom Scholem's monumental work (1,000 pages), "Sabbatai Sevi: The
Mystical Messiah" published by Princeton University Press in which he
concludes, "Was it not a great opportunity missed, rather than a big lie? A
victory of the hostile powers, rather than the collapse of a vain thing?"
(ibid, p. 929)

But of course, what are the opinions of Gershom Scholem worth compared to
those of someone like Mr. "Mephistopheles."
