And that is assuming that you recite all three mysteries, which is not the norm, so it is only 50. Why 150 you ask? That is because there are 150 pslams. > Why not instead, 200 verses of: > > "Now it came to pass, that at what time the chest > was brought unto the king's office by the hand > of the Levites, and when they saw that there was > much money, the king's scribe and the high priest's > officer came and emptied the chest, and took it, > and carried it to his place again. Because, it's a rather complex passage, it does not express a deep profound mystery, (such as the incarnation) and no one in Sacred Scripture ever said, "ages to come shall talk about this collection." You know if you get this upset over 50 repeats of a single prayer, I've got a reall whopper of a repetion for you to jump at instead. The Orthodox have a prayer which goes as follows: "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner." Which they repeat ENDLESSLY. Not 50 times, not 100 times not 200 times, but following the Lord's command to pray Constantly. The Didache commands the saying of the Lord's Prayer three times a day! (The Didache was a 1st century document which some early church fathers wanted to be incorporated in the canon of sacred scripture.) -- | _______ |Christopher Beattie | 801 Eisenhower Dr| | /__ __\ Peace |Tantalus Inc. | Key West, FL 33040| | / \ and |Development Div. |Phone: (305) 293-8100| | /___\ Good |chrisb@Tansoft.com | Fax: (305) 292-7835| | |#include |
