The English word Hell comes from a root that means a covering or covered
place. Gehenna does not correspond with the English word Hell. Gehenna
is the valley outside of Jerusalem. In Jesus' day it was a fiery
garbage dump that was kept burning by brimstone (sulphur).

Sheol/Hades corresponds better with the original meaning of the English
word Hell.

The eternal fire is God's fiery jealousy for righteousness which is
eternally against all unrighteousness. (Zephaniah 3:8) Those
symbolically thrown into Gehenna or the Lake of fire are eternally
destroyed, even as Sheol/Hades and death [which came from Adam] are
destroyed therein. -- Revelation 20:14; Hosea 13:14, KJV.

"So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all
men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted
justification of life to all men. For as through one man's disobedience
the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the
many will be made righteous." - Romans 5:18,19 NAS.

"The wages of sin is death." - Romans 6:23.
If Adam's sin is not chargeable to babies, then they would not die.
There would be no miscarriages and abortion would be not be possible.
Newborn babies would not die.

"As in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive." - 1
Corinthians 15:22.
If babies are not of a sinful nature because of Adam's sin, then the
ransom sacrifice of Jesus would not cover them. However, they *are* of a
sinful nature because of Adam's sin, therefore the ransom sacrifice of
Jesus does cover them as well as the whole human race that has come from
Adam.

All upon conception are "by nature children of wrath." - Ephesians 2:3.

As David said: "Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my
mother conceived me." (Psalm 51:5, NAS) David is not saying that his
mother committed a sin by conceiving him; he was acknowledging that from
his very conception he was in a sinful condition.
