| Any takers on this subject?

in many euro-american cultures the prefiguring "dark"
implies somehow objectionable or heinous activities
or beliefs. for the conservative Buddhist, this may
imply the practice of Zen with intentional breakage
of the so-called "Precepts" of monastic discipline
(something of a variable, but traditionally
congregating around the personal behaviour of the monk)

this could escalate into a somewhat flagrant affair
on par with what are today called 'Black Masses by
 modern Satanists (conditioning-breaking rituals)

perhaps dark zen would concentration on the
DESTRUCTION of the Buddha, the Dharma, and the
Sangha, or on a particular interpretation of the
8-fold Path which would be considered horrendous
and unthinkable to the traditional monastics
 (suggestions?)

one obvious option would be an intentional breakage
of the principle of 'ahimsa' in some kind of ritual
sacrifice. perhaps this could be a pig let to rot
and fed as an offering to a statue of Gotama Buddha,
 initiating his Parinirvana

other kinds of 'dark zen' that come to the mind of this
twisted one include magical activities on the part
of zen aspirants in an attempt to acquire for them-
selves a type of achievement through works of power
rather than discipline. an example here would be a
kind of parasiticism on the zazen of fellow monks
such that the benefits they would normally acquire
from the sitting would instead be transferred to
 the dark zen mage

more elaborate plots could include an attempt to move
the human race into the Realm of Nirvana through some
kind of holocaust brought about through meditating
on fulcrums of global assault (catalyzing some kind
of nuclear war amongst the nations of the world, for
example, with the objective that, with less humans
on the planet, the job of 'saving all sentient beings'
would be made that much easier
