Not just the modern version of religions either. Take a close look at the origins and evolution of the worlds major religions and sacred texts. Then trace the various orders and paths of magick to their origins as far back as you can. Then take a look at the various grimoires. DO NOT jump into ritual at this point. Note the date the original text was written and try to determine the sources the author used. By then you should have a very good idea of which directions to pursue. Many will not agree with this scholarly approach, they feel it is better to start practicing ritual as soon and as often as possible. I feel my approach can save you years of clinging to a misguided or limited modern path. It is very hard to learn that something you have put your faith and soul into is a pile of B.S, and even harder to admit. Most will just adjust their thinking and make excuses for the inconsistencies they discover later. It is far better to do some research before you begin, than to end up in that position. -- TaloN ___________________________________________ When the wise man points at the moon, the fool looks at the finger - Zen Proverb
