To: alt.magick From: "Christopher"Subject: Re: looking for spell ideas... Date: Sat, 27 Sep 2003 15:03:23 GMT Well the step between candle magic and full blown spell is not a big one. I asked because many times we get people in here who want to do spell or whatever to solve one problem, even though they don't study or care about magic, and I feel this is not a good combination. Anyways, if you are studying, then continue to study. There are many spells you could create or eveen find in local books. This is banishing/destructive magic (even though the final outcome would most likely be positive) so do your work in the wanning moon. Do you have a speicific religious pantheon you have dedicated yourself to ? Many people will tell you to just pick a justice oriented diety, but I don't believe in the practice of plug and pray. Work with the energy which you most likely represents justice, the fixing of things the protection of the innocents. You might consider doing some divinatory work first, it can sometimes lend information about how to proceed. Your ritual/spell set up should go something like this. 1.Banish, Center yourself, perhaps sit and have some quiet time. 2.Raise energy. perhaps a rhyme or chant about the situation would be appropriate. It should build in intensity more and more til your emotional goal is so strong it is like a burnig in yourn soul. When youve reached that heavy emotion, release it by doing the next step. 3.Invoke your justice energy, this could even be " I invoke the powers of justice". Do your incantations with FEELING. Really let your feelings go, the more you send out, the more will happen Its helpful to have a material basis for this. A talisman, a staue, a sigil, an object that is related to the situation, anything to make the contact stronger. 4. Wait for your response. Make sure you have a response, repeat your conjuration if you need to. 5. When you are sure something is there, thank it for coming. Be respectful. You probally wont be talking to anything visible. That does not mean you should feel stupid or adress it like an imaginary friend. 6. Recitie your desires for justice, make it impressive. Implore the powers and tell them all the reasons this change must happen. When you think youve made your case, visualize your goal coming true if you like. 7. Thank the powers, tell them to depart. 8. Banish 9. Since you are new to this prepare for a little backlash. Something may happen and everything will work out great. Or nothing could happen, plnating the seed of doubt. Or worse it could blow up in your face because you had no damn idea what you were doing. Anyways Ill leave it up to you to make the best judgement call. Good Luck. Please dont let that keep you from making suggestions though. Thanks.
