According to Marty Meyer, the owner of Indio Products / International Imports of Los Angeles, the woman once known as Anna Riva now lives in Montana and has Alzheimer's disease. Anna Riva was an assumed name that she used for her business and writing only -- Anna was her mother's name and Riva was her daughter's name. When she retired, her product line and book publishing ventures were acquired by Indio, which still manufactures products under the Anna Riva brand. cat yronwode Hoodoo in Theory and Practice -- http://www.luckymojo.com/hoodoo.html No personal e-mail, please; just catch me in usenet; i read it daily. Someone asked if Anna Riva was a real person, so i replied to that. But since you asked about the ingredients -- yes, the Anna Riva line consists of essential oils and synthetic fragrances in a synthetic oil base. There are no herbs, roots, or minerals in Anna Riva oils. As far as i can tell, the formulas are essentially the same as those used by Indio and other brands that were formerly independent but are now owned by Indio, including Seven Sisters of New Orleans, Arjax, and River of Jordan. Obviously i must point out the fact that my Lucky Mojo line is in competition with the much more widely distributed (and more cheaply priced) Anna Riva line -- but that does not keep me from telling thr truth as i know it.
