A Question about Latin

'Hem, hem,' said gjw, in such a good imitation of Professor Umbridge that
several people in alt.fan.harry-potter looked around in alarm, and then

My dictionary gives me:

- auctus acceleratus or

- incrementum acceleratum

I don't know what the difference between those two is (or if there is any),
but #2 (IMO) implies the growth of plants.

Also in Latin adjectives are put after the nouns (basically).

I guess the OP (Brent) needs this for a fanfic (possibly for a spell), so
if he wants a more Potter-esque combination, maybe he should go for
"Accelero auctum" [1] (I accelerate growth). This is exactly what Rowling
did with "Expecto patronum" [2] (I expect/await/hope for a
patron/guardian/protector.)

[1] OK, it's actually "Auctum accelero",
[2] and "Patronum ex(s)pecto", but who's to argue with JKR. ;-)
