looking for spell ideas...

If you have read any chaos magick material than you are probably
familiar with sigils. Sigils are actually a method of hypnosis
pioneered by Erikson, where one can communicate directly with the
subconscious outside of trance. In most chaos magick literature you
charge a sigil consciously with your intenet and then forget about it.
Erikson had other sneaky tricks like metaphors to talk to the
subconscious. I personally think Erikson is some new age stuff that
has no real roots in traditional hypnosis. Traditional hypnosis has
always been direct suggestion and if you are skilled can work outside
of trance. Trance can be hard to get into and historicly has always
been metaphysical. While all cultures use trance at some level,
modern hypnosis was developed from the greeks. Some say the greeks
stole it from the egyptians. In greek temples sick folks would
indulge in herbs which would induce sleep. While they went to sleep
they would pray along side the priests to the gods of sleep. Then
once asleep the priests would continue working over them, and when
they awoke they would be healed. I suggest you do exactly this,
except instead of taking drugs to knock yourself out and relax
practice this when you would normally go to sleep. It will take a few
weeks to get some practice at this, and I suggest you try a few simple
expiriments first. Make yourself have a lucid dream, get your arm to
raise in the air while your asleep. Then start playing with more
esoteric functions, like prophetic dreams and dealing with your girl
friend. Once you are good it shouldn't be hard to enter a light
trance while you are awake, or begin to use eriksons techniques of
metaphores. In essence what you are doing with your candles is
probably a hypnotic method of fixation combined with erikson
techniques of metaphor (sigils). This is the essence of magicx.
Hope I helped.

To be honest, the most I have done thus far is mostly Candle Magick.
I have
not had any reason to do anything more than that until now. I have
been doing
a lot of reading on the subject so I am aware of the basics, but as
far as
actually performing a full blown spell/ritual... I guess you could say
I am a
novice. Please dont let that keep you from making suggestions though.
 Thanks.
