Chaos Theory

By chaos theory I refer to the one that encompasses the Butterfly Effect.
(This idea originated from the first fractal ever produced which analyzed
seemingly chaotic weather patterns and resembled a butterfly in shape. It
is said that a butterfly in the Amazon may, by flapping its wings, cause a
hurricane somewhere else by starting a chain reaction of forces that becomes
the "straw that broke the camel's back".)

I am a beginner in Chaos Magick and am not even sure what merit I give it.
However, I read that Chaos Magick is based, at least loosely, on chaos
theory, and one should at least learn the fundamentals of the latter to
better understand the former. From what I get out of this, Chaos Magick
works much like the Butterfly Effect; one's subconscious puts the slightest
subliminal actions into one's own in order to provoke a chain reaction. But
to get a better understanding of chaos theory's role in Chaos Magick, I am
putting the question to some more experienced magicians.
