I can just imagine how a conservative engineering type would -} answer my questions, psuedo science... The conservative engineering type would be right. Carroll largely picked and chose from a variety of ideas in physics, and especially quantum mechanics, in constructing his scientific view of magick. In some cases (as in his idea about retroactive enchanment), he borrows from one area while entirely ignoring others (in this case, monodirectionality of time) from the same source. It comes across, at times, as if he were a quantum physicist who used goetia to fill in the blanks in his theories. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ + Tzimon Yliaster + + Tools of CHAOS Maintainer + + http://www.crl.com/~tzimon + + tzimon@crl.com + + PO Box 26362 + + San Francisco, CA 94126 + ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
