To: alt.magick From: "J. Duncan Macgregor"Subject: Re: The Goetia - Which is the recommended edition/publication Date: Sat, 7 Nov 1998 01:16:35 -0500 The Goetia is a section of "The Lesser Key of Solomon." It is often mistaken for the complete book, which it is not. The most common edition of the Goetia is the Mathers/Crowley edition. (The Goetia: the lesser key of Solomon the king; Aleister Crowley, translated originally by Samuel MacGregor Mathers.) The only complete version of The Lesser Key is "Lemegeton:Clavicula Salomonis" by White, Nelson & Anne The Greater Key of Solomon gets into a little more specifics & details. It is divided into two major section. The first is combination of High & Low magickal methods. The second includes various tools & weapons of the magician. (The Greater Key of Solomon / S.L.M. Mathers) From more info on the Goetia & Grimoires, try posting in alt. Goetia newsgroup. -- J.
