To: thelema93-l@hollyfeld.org From: BrianSubject: Re: GOETIA Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1999 12:55:20 -0500 (CDT) My own limited experience in these matters has been that a manifesting medium of any sort is -- if not a necessity -- then at least an extremely good idea. Incense smoke seems to work well, as does the use of a "dark" mirror - akin to a regular mirror, except its reflecting surface is black instead of silver. The operation in this case becomes rather akin to traditional scrying, and it is best accompanied by a healthy number of flickering candles and incense smoke to add to the effect. Spooky. Supposedly, a slightly dampened incense mixture of wormwood and mugwort is a good manifesting medium for Goetic operations, with the added bonus of the resultant fumes being mildly hallucinogenic. I have not tried this myself, but an online acquaintance of mine who has done extensive Goetic work assures me that the mixture is quite effective. I wouldn't want to use it anywhere but outdoors, though. And the gods only know what exactly it's doing to one's fragile little mind. ;) Brian On Wed, 28 Jul 1999, C Baphemetis wrote: > 93, > > Weeeeelllll, my experience with Goetia is limited > to a few workings, since I'm not all that interested > in commanding and banishing demons..... but, I've > had some luck with visible appearance - using lots > of incense gives them something to "form up" with, > I think, so that's one suggestion....
