No disagreement there; the context of my remarks was, of course specific
to thelema, but could be expanded to any number of religions.
One of the major problems with Egypt is that much of the source material
is strongly influenced by the Hellenistic influences; these, of course
had a view of "divinity" much similar to our own.
Added to this, archeologists tend to see what they look for, and the
transformation is complete.
