the "basic A=1 set" is not generally gematria.

not generally numerology (which adds letters in names,
rather than multiplying them).

occultmouth.

"Qabalah" is more than mere numerolinguistics. the term
'numerology' doesn't usually include multiplication.

"Frater SG" :
# Because of the simplicity of the numbering system I'd
# call it Numberology.

nice term.

# If he were using one of the more complex Gematria
# systems then it would be Qabalah.

or part of somebody's Qabalah.

# Crowley used the Hebrew letters and number
# associations even when decoding English words.

+ Greek

# There will always be a fault in using a straight A=1
# system as our modern alphabet has far more characters
# than the original Latin or Greek.

I don't follow the logic of this.

# One should also keep in mind that many Gematric systems
# do not enumerate the letters evenly or in the same
# pattern as an English A=1 system would.

strictly false. A=1... K=20, ... T=200 IS gematria by
the Ulian Schemata. however, your apparent intent was
to contrast this with A=1...K=11, ... T=20 ... Z=26,
which is indeed different.

# For example, in Greek you would have Alpha=1, Beta=2,
# Gamma=3 and in Hebrew you get Teth=9, Yod=10, Kaph=20,
# Lamed=30, etc...

indeed. any alphabet could be used to achieve this.

# Remember that Gematria is an artificial system

is A=1 ... Z=26 a natural system?

# so you have to decode messages using the same
# system by which they were created.

a cypher, yes.
